Discussion questions:

1. Describe a time when you felt Joy.
2. Did you feel comfortable sharing the reason for your joy?
3. Where do people typically find joy, not to be confused with feeling happy.
4. Does God ever bring you Joy? Or do you think he gives other people Joy?
5. Do you feel uncomfortable when other people express their emotions in the way t at David does in the text?
6. Why was Michal daughter of Saul without Joy in this moment?

• Praise the Lord!  PGC has settled down at PCA after moving in for a while.  Welcome your opinions and suggestions that help us improve further on Sunday Service, Sunday School and different ministries.  Drop them into our PGC Drop Box (for Offering & Opinions Collection) at PCA Big Gym.  Our pastoral staff and church leaders will review and follow up where appropriate.  Look forward to hearing from you.
• PGC Membership Meeting will take place in-person today 11:30-12:30 after Sunday Service at PCA Big Gym (NO Zoom available). PGC members and non-members please stay behind to attend, and pray together for God’s guidance.
• PGC Baptism has been scheduled on 9/17 (Sun) this year. All with age of 12yrs or above, already accepted Jesus Christ as savour, are eligible to apply for getting baptised this year.  Application forms are available at the Reception Table outside PCA Big Gym.  Please contact your Pastor or Cell Leaders for enquiries about baptism.
• Praise the LORD Jesus for His amazing provision for Summer Camp: a youth team including camp manager, confirmed camp venue, and government funding on youth hiring.  Please continue to pray for at least 20 camper registration weekly.  Details: https://PGCmarkham.org/summercamp/
• “Rethinking Discipleship” - IDMC 2023 Conference will be held 7-9:30pm on 6/23 (Fri) & 2-9:30pm on 6/24 (Sat) at SCBC with Zoom option available. Rev. Edmund and Pastor Ann Chan will speak in English with Cantonese interpretation. Onsite fee is $100/per (incl. Sat dinner) and online $60/per, with $10 discount available for church group registration (10 people +). To encourage participation of brothers and sisters, PGC will subsidize half of the fee, i.e. applicants pay only $45 (onsite) or $25 (online) to participate. Prayer & Praise Items:

• Pray for the recruitment of Director of Education in York Region District School Board. May God lead the suitable candidate to submit all needed materials soon and grant him/her the ability and wisdom to respond to all interview questions.  Pray that all 13 trustee members will choose the candidate with integrity who can bring about positive influence to our children’s educational development.
• Praise the Lord for a youth team including camp manager, an elementary school as venue, and government approved funding on youth’s salary in summer camp. May God bless us with at least 20 campers registration weekly.
• Pray for missionaries, and local mission and Christian organizations, supported by PGC. May God strengthen their ministries to bear more spiritual fruits.  Pray for Janice Lo in Cambodia, who will return to Canada for graduation in May end.
