Online Worship Tips:

“What's holding us back?”

CHAIRMAN   :  Cecil Mar
SPEAKER      :  Pasotr Iain Davis
SCRIPTURES :  Luke 19:1-10

Sermon Notes:

  • Zacchaeus unlike the Young Ruler gave up his idol to worship God.
  • Zacchaeus displays the fruits of repentance, not just talk, but action.
  • Jesus comes to save us, even though we do not deserve it, even though we should not have God’s love, he gives it to us.

Discussion Questions:

  1. If we were in the same position as Zacchaeus what would we have done if we couldn't see Jesus? What does that say about us?
  2. What does it look like in our lives to have the “fruits of repentance”? Have we ever experienced it when someone repented in that way to us?
  3. Did Zacchaeus earn his salvation? He did something good, he obeyed the law, and Jesus said salvation came to the house, but did he truly repent?
