Who do you care the most for who you are? How could this be a trap?

“I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”1 Sa 16:18

What are your daily habits to build (or prevent from) a time and space for Jesus?

Fear of man sees failure (Saul) vs. Fear of God sees victory (David looks at Goliath)

Power in God’s name > Any other power

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. (1 Tim 4:12, 15)

Read 1 Sa 17:36-37, when is the last time you call on to Jesus on your knees?

Read 17:45-47 again. In your own circumstances, can you develop a Spiritual perspectives where Jesus leads you?
