Please see details below:

“Does God Choose who to save”

CHAIRMAN: Johnathan tang
SPEAKER:  PASTOR IAIN DAVIS
SCRIPTURES:  Romans 8:29-30

Sermon Notes:

Since we are dead in our sins we are incapable of saving ourselves, unconditional election means that the burden of salvation falls on God.

God cannot learn anything new, since he is all knowing, so he cannot be surprised about who is saved.

Why does God choose to save one person and not another one? Because it is God’s sovereign will to choose.

Discussion questions:

  1. How do you understand the process of election?
  2. Which side is more convincing to you?
  3. How would you explain to a new christian/non christian how someone is saved by God?
  4. If God is choosing people, then do we have any free will at all?
