Notes :

  • A disciple is someone who loves their enemies, because of their love for Jesus.
  • The Kingdom of God has values and traditions at odds with our world!
  • Hypocrisy is holding people to a standard we do not hold to ourselves.

News & Events:

  • Children Dedication Ceremony will take place during the PGC Joint Online Worship via Zoom next Sunday on October 17. A total of 6 kids from 5 families will be dedicated by their parents, with thankful and revere hearts, to help them establish a godly life. Friends and families are welcome to join the ceremony. Please pray for the parents and the Ceremony.
  • CrossRoads youths & families are encouraged to put faith in action by preparing bags of goods for the ministries like Toronto Alliance Church and Youth Unlimited that are reaching out to homeless adults and youths. Bags with CrossRoads logo are now available for you to fulfill this good will. If you are interested to participate in this Compassion Care Packages Campaign, please contact Andy for bags and details. Date of bag collection will be on October 22 tentatively.
  • Crossroads Fellowship is now working towards restructure of fellowship into Junior High (G6-8) and High School (G9-12) starting in January 2022. Adult helpers are needed to help in leading, mentoring and serving the youths. If you are interested, please contact Andy or join as observers in any of the youth meetings.
  • CrossRoads Friday Fellowship will now be held indoor at 105 Gibson Centre with updated meeting time 7:30-9pm until further notice. Kindly note that, to comply with the venue’s policy, all attendees will need to be fully vaccinated with proof of vaccination in order to enter, with exemption of those under 12 years of age.
  • 2021 Passport to Purity Retreat will be held on the weekend of Oct 23-24, it will be a hybrid online retreat. Please pray for the 18 families joining the event, pray for Pastor Connie Liu and the organizing team for a successful and enjoyable event.
  • PGC is now conducting a “Devotion / Bible Reading Survey” to understand the situation of brothers and sisters in personal devotion and Bible reading. We also want to know the habit of parents praying and reading the Bible with their children. Prayer Items:

  • Pray for God’s guidance as the youth ministry undergoes changes to accommodate growth, as well as for the youths to grow in Him.
  • May God grant wisdom to Andy and Iain to lead the youths, and provide a female intern and more adult counselors to serve alongside.
  • Pray for the relationships among young adults to be strengthened with one another and with God.

Praise Item:

  • Thanks God for the Spikeball Tournament successfully held last Sunday. Participating teams comprising youths and adults, and attending audience, all enjoyed a wonderful outdoor time.
  • Thanks God for preparing Gibson Centre as indoor venue for youth fellowship now. May God teach us to use the place wisely to strengthen bonding among youths and to reach out to parents.
