Notes :
- The Sabbath is a day of rest set apart by God for our Good
- Jesus chooses to fulfill the spirit of the law, doing good, even on the Sabbath
- The Kingdom of God is where we do good for others even when human rules limit us
News & Events:
- Next Sunday, Oct 3rd, is Holy Communion Service. B/S who will partake in HC please prepare bread and cups in advance.
- PGC will continue to distribute Holy Communion kits up to 4 prefilled sets. Please send request to your cell leader and arrange visit or pick-up. B/S not belonging to any cell group could send request to admin@pgcmail.org.
- The Executive Board has approved application of the following B/S to become PGC Member, join PGC as spiritual home, participate in future development of the church's ministry, and support PGC to grow and prosper. If any PGC Member does not agree for them to become PGC Member, please submit written reason to Deacon Cecil Mar of Membership Committee before Oct/10. The New Members are: Fred Koo & Wendy Lee (Bethel).
- PGC is supporting World Vision Global 6k Run for clean water in September! Funding raised will help provision of clean water in developing countries. - PGC’s first sports ministry Spikeball tournament will take place 12:30pm on Oct/2 (Sat) at Carlton Park. Many youths and adults have been actively practicing in the past few weeks. Please come as audience to encourage all participating teams and enjoy a day out with your family and friends.
- For safety of all attendees at PGC Youth events, parents of attending youths, as well as serving adults, will need to fill out a Weekly Registration/COVID-19 Screening Online Form: https://forms.gle/bLUDsJSUiyTb3GwP8 before participating in each in-person activity. Any youth/serving adult attendees yet to fill out the form will not be able to participate in the youth activities.
- The Youth Ministry is planning to restructure and form a student leadership committee for fellowship. All high schoolers are invited to reveal their interests on different serving areas by filling in the Youth Serving Interest Form: https://forms.gle/RrSP8so3NV4gp3cF6. Further details, as well as the Information Night scheduled on Oct/4, will be emailed to those who sign up. Please contact Intern Andy Tse for enquiries.
- Junior English Service for teens in Gr6-8 takes place on Sunday at 11am! Families are encouraged to worship with their teens together. Please join us via zoom: https://peoplesgospelchurch.org/g6-8
- In-person English Sunday Worship is open for interested B/S who have been fully vaccinated and not showing any symptoms. It now takes place at ONE location for the first 10 who sign up. The arrangement and capacity limit has been set to take into account safety and disturbance to the neighbors. More spots may be arranged later depending on the congregation’s readiness of in-person worship and venue availability. Prayer Items:
- Pray for God’s sovereignty over the newly elected Canadian government, and countries currently ruled by military force or politically unstable.
- May God protect students back to schools when more COVID-19 infected cases are being identified.

- Thanks God for more teens and youths at PGC. May God grant wisdom to Intern Andy in leading junior teens, provide suitable venue for youths’ fellowship and prepare a female intern to support Pastor Iain in caring for youths.
