  • Jesus was a powerful teacher, and had the power to do miracles.
  • The demons tried to discredit Jesus and his ministry, but they failed.
  • His mission was not to teach or do miracles, but to proclaim the kingdom of God.

  • PGC leaders encourage cell groups to hold indoor/outdoor gatherings and activities in compliance with the governmental guidelines for gatherings and public health measures: https://peoplesgospelchurch.org/reopening
  • PGC Cell Ministry has recently been restructured. Under the new 3-layer structure, Pastor Ken will head all zone pastors to lead zone sups in taking care of all cells. The upcoming focus will fall on discipling cell leaders. Thanks Tommy Tsui for stepping up to serve as the zone sup of Bethel. May God bless his faithful serving.

Prayer Item:

  • Pray for the Afghans now under control of the Taliban force. May God protect the vulnerable, women, local churches, missionaries and those forced to flee.
  • Pray for God’s mercy on the postdisaster reconstruction works at Haiti after its recent hit by earthquake and tropical storm.
  • Canada is heading towards the 4th wave of COVID-19 infections. May God lead our government to carry out the best policies and measures to control the spread. Pray also for students returning to physical schools in September.

Praise Item:

  • Viktoriia, wife of Pastor Iain, has already arrived and will stay for long in Canada. May God guide them to seek for a suitable place, whereby they could better serve the congregation.
  • Thanks God for blessing us with more teens and youths. May God provide us a suitable female intern to support Pastor Iain in taking care of the youths.
