News & Events:
- All are welcome to join the English Fellowship Connection, with testimonial sharing, today 11:15-12:30 after service at PCA Cafetorium. High School (HS) girls monthly gathering will also take place today at the same time at PCA Room 308. Welcome university and up to adult ladies to join together.
- As Halloween is coming, we want to encourage families to understand how we can love our neighbours on that day. Please check out PGC Facebook post and link. You can also take some tracts and craft printouts for distributing lollypops on that night to share the gospel to children who come to your door. Please also pray for Parents Fellowship that happens at MGC that evening.
- As one of the celebrative events for PGC 20th Anniversary, a church-wide retreat will be organized during the Victoria Day long weekend on May 16-18, 2026 (Sat-Mon) at Trent University (Peterborough). Rev Peter Au (區應毓牧師/博士) will be one of the guest speakers sharing at the Retreat. Please reserve your dates to join this meaningful retreat and sincerely invite you to take part in the Retreat Committee and various working groups to be formed soon for organizing the event. Stay tuned on any updates to be announced in due course.
- With the approval of PGC Executive Board, Rev. Jim Tam will be taking his Sabbatical Leave for 2 months (Oct & Nov) after serving PGC for more than 7 years. In the meantime, Rev. Tam will be offering assistance voluntarily to SOBEM and Love Foundation in Hong Kong in developing their ministries, preaching at schools and churches, and leading gospel events. Appreciate the Board’s support to Rev Tam’s ministries. Please keep Rev. Tam in prayers.
- Pastor Iain and his family has gone for their family vacation to Poland from Oct/7-26 and visiting Viktoriia’s family there. Please keep their family in prayers. Kindly contact Pastor Andy or EMC members for ministry needs.
- Invite all Young Adults to serve with Toronto Alliance Church by making sandwiches and gathering donations for those in our community needing our help. It will happen on 10/18 (Sat) 11am - 1pm with preparation of 200 double decker sandwiches and driving these sandwiches plus other donated items (welcome new socks and underwear) downtown right after. Please contact team leader Merlin for details if you are interested to be a part of this ministry.
- To encourage intergenerational worship, children and English committees have a soft launch this month starting today to welcome all children to join English worship singing time together from 9:30-9:50 AM. We strongly encourage all parents to sign in children at PGCKIDS table starting from 9:15am, and then accompany your children to proceed into the NEST and worship together. Children staff will be present to sit with children whose parents may not be able to join English worship. For details please contact Lucia and Pastor Connie.
- Parents Fellowship is coming again on 10/31 (Fri) night 7:15-9:30 PM at MGC. We welcome all parents to come join us for a fellowship with small group support and prayers. Thankful to have Annie CMO to share with us “What to look forward as our children grow in different stages.” There will be children and youth programs from 2 1/2 years old to Gr 12. Registration has started now.
- PGC Women’s Retreat with the theme of “Rooted in Wisdom, Radiant in Impact” will take place on 10/25, 9am-4pm at the Meadows of Aurora (440 William Graham Drive), with Pastor Teresa Tong (in Cantonese) and Ms. Elizan Strauss (in English) as the guest speakers. The cost of $30 can be payable in cash or by cheque. Please reach out to Annie Cmo or Millie after Sunday Service for in-person registration and payment before the postponed deadline of 10/19 (coming Sun).
Prayer & Praise Items:

- Pray for the sustaining political, social and religious unrests. Pray for all these spiritual warfare esp. when Halloween is approaching. Take the opportunity to spread the gospel with God’s love and bring hope to your friends and neighbors.
- Pray for Rev. Jim’s voluntary ministry during his Sabbatical leave these 2 months in Oct & Nov.
- Pray for Pastor Iain’s family vacation to Poland (10/7-26) that God will keep them safe and they will enjoy warm reunion with Vika’s family there.
- Pray for Vika’s grandma who has been under treatment for her stage 3 skin cancer. May God heal her & continue to provide for her treatment.
- Praise God for PGC’s 20th Anniversary. At this milestone, let’s count God’s blessings. Pray for God’s leading to PGC to thrive despite challenges.
- Pray for missionaries supported by PGC, as well as other mission fields in various places.
