  • All are welcome to join the English Fellowship Connection today 11:15-12:30 after service at PCA Cafetorium. We shall continue to have baptized brothers/sisters sharing with us their testimonies during the Connection time.  Encourage you to stay and witness their life changing experiences.
  • High School (HS) girls will resume regular monthly gathering during post-service time from TODAY and every 2nd Sunday of the month. Welcome university and up to adult ladies to join and study on the Book of Leviticus together.
  • Preparation of PGC 20th Anniversary Publication is intensively underway. We have prepared pens and paper on the Reception Table, along with the drop-off box.  Invite brothers and sisters to write a simple message to give thanks and blessings, or to share your feelings, to encourage one another.  Look forward to reading your sharing.
  • PGC Women’s Retreat with the theme of “Rooted in Wisdom, Radiant in Impact” will take place on 10/25, 9am-4pm at the Meadows of Aurora (440 William Graham Drive). Pastor Teresa Tong (in Cantonese) and Ms. Elizan Strauss (in English) will be the guest speakers.  Registration in person will commence from 9/14 after Sunday Service, with deadline on 10/12.  The cost of $30, payable in cash or by cheque, will include lunch and refreshments.  Please contact Doris (Carmel), Jessie Cmo or Annie Cmo for enquiries.
  • “CrossRoads” for highschoolers (G9-12) is getting a relaunch and a revamp. To match with PGC’s cell-based vision, they’ll establish a new fellowship known as “Kalos” (the word καλός is Greek for Good, or beautiful).  From 9/19 onward, they’ll meet at PCA every Friday night from 7:30-9:30pm, with more time of worship, in the word, and regular small group gatherings led by the youth planning committee members. "CrossRoads" will remain be used for junior high teens (G6-8) with gathering time unchanged.
  • Devo, Gospel and Purity Workshop for parents with children aged 6-12 yrs will be held TODAY 11:15am in Room 307. Pastor Connie will share practical tips for parents to walk with and guide young children on fearing and obeying God.  Welcome participating parents to come in earlier at 11am to look at the books and resources.
  • English has started in September a bible study on the Book of Ezekiel every Thursday 7pm. Please contact Pastor Iain or Pastor Andy for more details.

 


Prayer & Praise Items:

  • Pray for the recent murdering tragedies, including 8/27 church shooting in Minneapolis, 2 weeks ago a young Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska fled to America but was murdered in Charlotte, as well as the very recent one about Charlie Kirk being shot to death at Utah, survived by a wife and 2 kids. Pray for the peace of God, and his abiding love to minister hearts of the families with loss of their beloved.
  • Pray for Vika’s grandma who has been under treatment for her stage 3 skin cancer. May God heal her & continue to provide for her treatment.
  • Praise God for PGC’s 20th Anniversary. At this milestone, may brothers & sisters recall God’s faithfulness on His protection & provisions, and count His blessings.  Pray for God’s leading to PGC to thrive despite challenges.
  • Pray for God’s guidance to our church pastors and leaders to overcome challenges with faithful and united heart to build a healthy church.
  • Pray for missionaries supported by PGC, as well as other mission fields in various places.
