News & Events:

• Please note the following arrangements for the month of August:
  • To prepare for production of our PGC 20th Anniversary photo album, photo shooting has been scheduled on 8/10, 8/17 & 8/31 during 09:30 -12:30 at PCA Room 308 . Invite all PGC brothers and sisters to sign up your preferred time slot (5mins each) on the chart available outside Room 308. Photo shooting for cell groups will take place later on after individual/family pictures are done.  Please stay tuned on further updates to be announced In due course.
  • Due to gym floor maintenance, PCA will not be available for our Sunday Service on 8/24. Sunday Service on that week will be arranged as below:
    

    Cantonese	10:30am	Online via Zoom
    English / Bridge	2:30pm-4pm	In-person at MGC (8 Elson St, Markham)
    Children	—-	Children will join service with their parents (Pastor Connie & Lucia will be on vacation that Sunday)

   

• Pastor Iain preached at LOGOS Mississauga this morning. Please pray that his sermon message will encourage and bless the congregation there.
• Congratulations to Pastor Tam's family, as his son Micah got married yesterday. Rev. Tam will take leave this week to spend time with their relatives and friends from overseas.
• The English post-service exegesis series, taking place 11:15—12:30 at PCA Cafetorium today, will read on the book of Jude. Encourage you to stay and join to learn deeper on God’s words.   The upcoming one on the 3rd Sunday  (8/17) will be Psalm 91.
• PGC Mario Kart World Tournament will take place on 8/10 (Sun) at PCA Cafetorium, with Lunch at 12:45 – 1:30pm, followed by Tournament at 1:30 – 4pm. Children, youths, young adults and adults with all skill levels are welcome to join this intergenerational eSports event.  Sign-up deadline on 8/4.  Please contact Pastor Andy or Nelson Chan for enquiries.
• CrossRoads Highschoolers will have Sports Night on 8/8 (coming Friday) 7:30—9pm at Berczy Park South (355 The Bridle Walk — meet by the tennis court). Welcome new G9 youths to come join together.
• Praise God for his indescribable and extraordinary providence, with many brothers and sisters’ selfless, serving and generosity! Three weeks of children and youth summer camp has came to an end for 2025! The Youth Team will have an extra week of evaluation and follow up with teambuilding.  We praise God for spiritual growth, for new friendships, and for the joy and gospel preached to the next generation. May the Lord receive all the glory!
• AFC Frosh Connexion will take place on 8/12 (Tue) 5-9pm at NYCBC. Gr12 graduates going to post-secondary are strongly recommended to join and meet their respective fellowships there.  The event has dinner option and is free of charge for frosh (1st yr students).  Sale ends on 8/4 with details here:

• Pray for peace in the world, and political and economic disputes between states will be settled soon according to God’s plan.
• Pray for all candidates baptized this year that God will strengthen their hearts and faith.
• Pray for Vika’s grandmother who has been diagnosed with stage 3 skin Cancer and is undergoing treatment now. May God heal her, and continue to provide for her treatment.
• Praise God for the smooth completion of summer camp this year. May God bless great bonding and spiritual growth for all youths and campers.
• Pray for God’s guidance to our church pastors and leaders to overcome challenges with faithful and united heart. Pray for our continued supports financially and with prayers.
• Pray for PGC’s missionary ministry, that God will have mercy with healing on those suffering from physically weaknesses, and grant strength to the ones undergoing challenges.

PGC needs sufficient funds to provide for the needs of our different ministries.  Let’s respond to God’s love through our faithful and generous offering.
