Sermon Notes;

  1. The Catholic Church’s teaching on justification combines justification with sanctification and regeneration- made righteous by God
  2. scripture teaches that justification is separate from sanctification and regeneration - we are declared righteous by god
  3. ⁠we are justified by faith alone!

 

 


News & Events:

  • Both PGC Membership Meeting and Joint Graduation Sunday Service will take place on 6/29.  Cantonese Sunday School, English Faith Foundation Course &
    Baptismal Class, Nursery and PGCKIDS Ministries will be suspended for a week.  Please see more details below.

    (a) PGC Membership Meeting (09:30am-10:45am) @PCA Small Gym
    All PGC members are requested to join the meeting, and non-members are welcome as well to know about development of different church ministries and be aware of our church’s needs and various serving opportunities.  Meeting agenda will be emailed to PGC members soon.  Please reserve time to attend, pray for the meeting agenda and seek God’s guidance together.

    (b) PGC Joint Graduation Sunday Service (11:15am-12:30pm) @PCA Big Gym
    We shall worship God and celebrate the graduation of SK, Gr8, Gr12 & College/ University students.  Parents and relatives of graduates are welcome to join.

  • With the Membership Meeting upcoming, invite congregants to consider applying for PGC Membership, if you have been baptized and have been regularly attending PGC Sunday Service and other cell meetings.   • All are welcome to join the English Fellowship Connection today 11:15-12:30 after service at PCA Cafetorium. We’ll also take the opportunity to welcome the Hilliard’s family, the sponsored family who arrived Canada from Hong Kong on 5/29.  Feel free to bring your own food and join together.   HS Girls Gathering will be held during the same time in Room 308.
  • 2025 PGC Baptism on 7/27 has its application deadline extended to 6/8 (today).   Candidates should submit application form, together with testimony and the 4 chairs assessment.  Online application submission is strongly recommended from Baptism website, with hard copies available on Reception Table.  All candidates need to complete the Baptismal Class (5 classes in total) before interview to be arranged in due course.
  • Praise God for His faithfulness and providence. Summer Camp Team 2025 is now formed with 16 team members.  Eloisa and Matthias have started as English interns in May while the rest will start working end of June.  Please pray for the team and the camp to spend time close to Jesus so they will plan and do things in unity and great bonding to bless all the campers, the church and the community!
  • PGC has recently received quite a number of rental related complaints PCA sent to all renters. They included but not limited to improper use of venue and mishandling of school properties.  Congregants are reminded to abide by the "Usage Guideline for PCA facilities".  Appreciate in advance for your cooperation.
  • A PGC "Lost & Found" box has been put up on Reception Table on Sunday.  Items found after our use of PCA facilities that are not claimed in 2 weeks will be moved to PCA's "Lost & Found" corner next to Room 204 for missing owners to look up by themselves.

 


Prayer & Praise Items:

  • Pray for peace in the world, that God might end ongoing armed conflicts, and that political and economic disputes between states will be settled soon.
  • Pray for all candidates getting baptized this year that God will strengthen their hearts and faith. Pray for the Baptism Committee in coordinating all organizing tasks,  and the ceremony and all testimonies on 7/27 will glorify God’s name.
  • Pray for Vika’s grandmother who has been diagnosed with stage 3 skin Cancer and is undergoing treatment now. May God heal her, and continue to provide for her treatment.
  • Pray for PGC’s church building plan that brothers and sisters will work together in supporting church building on the purchased land.
  • Praise God the summer camp team of 16 is now complete. Pray for the summer interns in leading the youth team and campers to spend time close to Jesus and grow spiritually.  Pray for all organization works and spiritual bonding of the camp.
