“Mother of God” ( 2025-05-11 )
講員 Speaker: Pastor Andy Tse, English Sermons 系列 series
Please feel free to download the bulletin PDF or use another cell phone to read the sermon outline, news and prayer items.
CHAIRMAN: CECIL MAR
SPEAKER: PASTOR ANDY TSE
SCRIPTURES: Luke 1:26–38; Revelation 12:1-6
Sermon Notes:
Catholic belief:
Mary is
(1) the Mother of God
(2) who was kept a virgin for her entire life,
(3) sinless at the time of her conception, and
(4) her body was taken into heaven.
She is to be honoured as the saint of all saints, the prototype of what the Church will be like.
What we believe:
Mary was the Mother of God insofar as that is a title that describes Jesus. She is to be honoured as an example of faith, not merely as a vessel who brought forth Jesus. Ultimately, she is a sinner like us who points us to our common Saviour, Jesus Christ.
