“How are they to believe?”

  1. God chooses to use the act of preaching, and evangelizing to bring people to faith.

 

  1. Therefore to share the gospel we first must understand it

 

  1. Once we hear the gospel we must respond to it!

 

 


News & Events:

 

  • Topical Q&A and Gr 6-8 Sunday School will take place today 11:15-12:30. Please join where appropriate.
  • PGC has scheduled to have a Fire Drill on 9/29 12:30-13:30. Congregants are strongly encouraged to participate in order to get familiar with the emergency operation.  To ensure the Drill will be carried out smoothly under a safe environment, no traffic in PCA school campus will be allowed after 12:15 that day until completion of the drill.  As a kind reminder of PCA Fire Exit Notice: (a) use of any closest Fire exits on emergency as a rule of thumb (b) There will be 2 EAPs (Evacuation Assembly Point), with one at the Open Area near the Playground at the back of school, and the other one in the front by the roadside (c) Upon Evacuation, NO parents should go to children area to find their children to avoid panic, delay or loss of children (d) Please follow Emergency Team’s instructions to leave the school building and offer assistance to the needy whenever possible.  Please stay tuned with more details to be announced in the these few weeks.
  • Praise Lord Jesus that we will have 9 teenagers and their parents to participate in Launch into teens retreat on 9/27-29, led by Pastor Connie and Pastor Andy. May the Lord greatly bless the two generations to have a fruitful and joyful learning and discussion about growing up in God's holiness as a teenager.
  • Compassion Canada will have a team of 2 come and hold an open house for us on 9/22, introducing their mission and vision, as well as an overview of their global operations. They will have a Guest Speaker preaching at our English Service. A room will be set up where their staff will meet us and introduce their operation with slide presentation.   PGC congregation will also be offered experience presentations with their Virtual Reality (VR) equipment in different sessions:
    • Cantonese - 9:30am - 10:45am (No Sunday School that day)
    • Children (Gr. 4-5) - 10:45am- 11:15am
    • English - 11:15am - 12:30pm

Due to limited availability of VR equipment, prior registration is required for participation.  Please sign up by the QR code.

  • CrossRoads Youth Fellowship will resume gathering from 9/20 (this Fri) 7-9:30pm at PCA Cafetorium. All Gr 6-12 youths are welcome to invite friends to come join together.  Please contact Pastor Iain or Pastor Andy for enquiries.
  • PGC Sports Night has resumed from 9/11 every Wednesday. Location is now at PCA with badminton/pickleball 6:30-8:30pm at Big Gym and basketball 8:00-10:00pm at Small Gym.  Welcome to invite relatives and friends to come play together.  Please contact Hingstone Calvin or Pastor Iain for further enquiries.
  • PGC Cantonese Men’s Conference will take place on 9/21 (Sat) 9am-3pm at the Meadows of Aurora (440 William Graham Dr) with Dr Clemen Yeung (楊世禮醫生) as the guest speaker. Prayer & Praise Items:

  • Pray for God’s sovereignty and mercy over the world now in political instability.
  • Pray for the recovery of Pastor Andy’s grandpa who suffered from a fall recently.
  • Pray for our overseas missionaries that God will keep them safe with good health, and strengthen their ministries in sharing gospel.
  • Praise God for Annie Cmo with the medical team bringing love and care to the needy through their MCF missionary trip. May God’s name be glorified.
