“The Stewardship of the Global Church”
CHAIRMAN: JOHNATHAN TANG
SPEAKER: MR CRAIG SHUGART
SCRIPTURES: ROMANS 10: 1 – 15
Sermon Notes:
1. What is stewardship?
- Observe Paul's passion v. 1-4
- It is to be fully aligned with the purposes of the Owner, not to be competent in fulfilling our own agenda.
2. As part of the global church, of what are we to be stewards?
- Observe Paul's logical engagement with the task v. 14-15
- Time, talent and treasure.
3. What is the global church NOT responsible for?
- Note Paul's "disclaimer" in v. 5-13 and v. 16
- Engage obediently, strategically and irrespective of the response.
Discussion Questions (if appropriate):
- In what ways do you believe this church is aligned with God's purposes as Owner of all and in what ways may it be prioritising its own agenda (perhaps quite well)?
- In what ways are you personally aligned with God's purposes with respect to your being part of the global church, and as an individual participant in the missional stewardship of the global church?
- Are there things you believe you might be praying about, thinking about, exploring, doing, etc. to better align your life with His calling?

Offering:
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”
- Malachi 3:10 (NIV)
PGC needs sufficient capital every year for development of church ministries. Encourage b/s to make financial offering based on bible's teaching & God's provision.
