How can we access the righteousness of God (How can we be saved?)

  • God’s righteousness has to be revealed to us
  • God has to give us access to it
  • God has to justify us
  • God has to make an atoning sacrifice for us.

 

 


News & Events:

  • Both PGC Membership Meeting and 2023 Child Dedication Ceremony will take place on 11/26. Due to special arrangements on that day, Cantonese Sunday School, English Prayer Meeting, Nursery and PGCKIDS Ministries will be suspended for a week.  Please see more details below:

(a) PGC Membership Meeting (09:30-10:45) @PCA Small Gym
All PGC members are requested to join our membership meeting, non-members are welcome to join as well to observe the decision making of our church, and to be made aware our church’s needs and various serving opportunities where you can serve our Lord.  The meeting agenda will be emailed to PGC members with hard copies available for pickup at the reception table.  Let’s pray for the meeting agenda and seek God’s guidance.

(b) 2023 Child Dedication Ceremony (11:15-12:30) @ PCA Big Gym    
It will take place during our Joint Sunday Service. A total of 14 kids from 9 families will be dedicated, including 2 from our English Pastors. Dedication reveals parents’ thankful hearts and their desire to help their kids establish a godly life, with the support & blessings from our spiritual family at PGC. Please invite Family & Friends to join.

  • All are welcome all to join English Fellowship Lunch on 11/12 (next Sunday), 11:15-12:30 at the Cafetorium. Feel free to bring your own food or pre-order food before 11/9 (coming Thurs) from this link: https://tinyurl.com/pgclunch.
  • High school (HS) girls gathering will have meetup again today (every 1st Sun) 11:15-12:30 at Rm306 with possibility of gathering outside PCA. Participating HS girls please arrange with parents on a pick-up location after gathering.
  • We are thankful for PGC families’ loving support to over 30 children with Compassion Canada this year, either on an individual basis or by cell groups. PGC would like to collect a list of all sponsors, with details of their sponsored children, for better disseminate information and coordinate on future visits.  Please submit details (https://forms.gle/RMxvaFpdE79RfSw49), and contact admin. Mabel for enquiries.
  • Children & English committees are planning for 2024 summer camp. We are actively recruiting young adults and Gr.10+ high schoolers to pray for this summer opportunity so we can reach and build the next generation together.  We need to have a minimum of 6 potential applicants by end of 2023 in order to make it possible 2024 children's camp.  Please pray for God's loving guidance.  Parents please encourage your youth to pray, and save the dates for PGC summer camps.
  • Executive Board has approved 3 applicants from Bethel to become PGC Members.
    If you disagree, please submit written disconsent to Deacon Cecil Mar of Membership Committee by 11/11. They are: Yuki Sau Fun Cheung, Ivan Tze Lim Cheung, and Lily Fong Wah Chau.
  • Congratulations again to Tiffany and Jonathan Lee on their marriage. May God bless their marriage with love, joy and companionship.

 

 


Prayer & Praise Items

  • Pray for the war between Israel and Hamas. Pray for those who are suffering, for the release of hostages, and for justice, and peace to return.  Pray for Christ’s return!
  • Pray for our staggered Sunday Services, that we might use PCA space effectively, and for God’s glory!
  • Pray for PGC’s land to be developed in God’s time & according to His plan.
  • Pray for PGC’s missionaries, as well as different missionary fields all over the world. May the gospel be widespread.
